During the summer of 2024, I had the privilege of being a Lifestyle Programming Intern for the daytime talk show Good Day Extra on WSYX ABC6 and WTTE FOX28 Columbus, diving headfirst into the fast-paced world of live television and supporting a tiny but mighty team behind one of my hometown's leading TV stations.

From researching local news and pitching segment ideas to writing show scripts and overseeing operations in the control room, I got to wake up every morning and deliver fun, entertaining, and engaging stories that reflected and uplifted the city of Columbus - a community that I proudly call my "home away from home."

However, what made this experience truly special was how the team allowed me to infuse my marketing background into the show's production, and help local companies, on-the-rise brands, and even surprise celebrity guests get on the air. All in all, it perfectly captured why I love storytelling in every form.

For my final assignment with the lifestyle show, I was given one last on-brand task: filming a “come along with me” or “day in my life” styled video to capture my experience on my final day as an intern, which is attached and watchable to the left. Additionally, featured below is a surprise on-air segment that introduced me as the summer intern during one of my first days on the job!
